Our Story

Hello!  My name is Tina and I'm the proud owner of Fine Line Leather Designs. I wish I could tell you that I was artistic from a young age and was astounding friends and relatives with various projects but that isn't the case.


Like all of you, I like my accessories and I have always loved adding a bracelet or 2 to a outfit to finish it off.  But for many years what I was finding in the stores was boring, poor quality and it took forever to get one to fit just right!

Sure, I could spend a boatload of cash on bracelets from high end designers and get something incredibly nice but I didn't have a boatload of cash! And I'm betting many of you don't either!

So, after being frustrated one too many times, I decided that I was going to make my own bracelets! That way I'd get exactly what I wanted.  And that's exactly what I did.

Since I have always liked the feel and texture of real leather ( I grew up riding and showing horses) I figured that would be the ideal medium to start with.
 
I rounded up some leather and supplies at a few craft stores and created my first couple of bracelets!  And when I started to get more than a few compliments from friends on my new accessories, along with requests like “Can you make me something like that?” I had a crazy idea that maybe, just maybe, I could turn this into a business!

Now, before you get the idea that this was easy, let me tell you that it wasn't!  I can still vividly remember the day in 2011 when I took almost all of my savings out of the bank and placed my first large order with a leather supplier.  After I sent the funds, all I could think of was ”OMG!! What Have I done?”

But I have to admit, even though I was still working a normal 9-5 job, having my own business had always been a dream for me.  And now I was getting close to what I really wanted to do.

Once again, it wasn't easy. A lot of obstacles had to be met and overcome!  Like dealing with suppliers, getting the right stock, choosing the right craft shows to go to and most of all making enough income so I could retire from my normal job and concentrate on doing what I have a burning passion for. And that's creating leather bracelets that when you wear them they can spark a conversation! After all, that's why we wear the things we do, right?

So fast forward 7 years till now. I have a small family owned business where I make unique handmade leather bracelets that are unlike anything you can find in stores. Everything I have is a 100% Made in the USA product. The bracelets are fun, inspirational and draw attention.
